A shared passion for antique jewelry and celestial motifs are behind the Toni + Chloë Goutal
collection.
For Toni, jewelry is more than just a passion; in the 1980s she worked with her sister, Angela
Kramer, in designing and sourcing gems from dealers on private collections for Fred Leighton.
Toni, a dedicated collector, passed down her passion, impeccable taste, and discerning eye to her
daughter Chloë.
Focusing on XIX-century pieces, they together search for eye-catching brooches shaped like
crescent moons and stars -- symbols of growth, new beginnings and spirituality -- featuring
exquisite gemstones including diamonds, opals, emeralds, unheated Burmese rubies, Ceylon
and Kashmir sapphires. They combine and transform these unique, individual pieces with
antique, exquisitely handcrafted gold chains into original, trendy yet timeless necklaces.
In 2014, while Chloë was wearing one of their designs, an admirer stopped her on the street and
offered to buy the necklace on the spot. A similar scenario occurred shortly after in a boutique.
Within a year, after having received encouragement from friends including the renowned jeweler
James de Givenchy, the mother-daughter duo launched Toni + Chloë Goutal, their collection of
antique necklaces with crescent moons and stars.
Identifying these one of a kind works of wearable art is the signature of Toni + Chloë Goutal.
